Welcome back to Tech YES City. Today I will be answering (finally) the big question of "Which is better for gaming? Intel of AMD?" And ultimately that question pretty much comes down to what you are willing to spend. This video will be really going past the mile to give you guys insights into both CPU's strengths and weaknesses with 100% objectivity (the way it should be). So here I am finally presenting to you guys the AMD FX-8320 (practically the same as the fx-8350) vs the Intel i5-4670k. I decided to test these CPUs out due to really popular demand to do this video. I also tested a lot of games that either you guys requested or I play myself.
Here is the precursor video (the Intel was clocked at 4.2ghz and the AMD was clocked at 4.4ghz) if you wish to see the setups and the explanation of the hardware used - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eR5Er...
Here is a timetable if you wish to go to one part of the video specifically:
Singleplayer Benchmarks - 1:37
Multiplayer Benchmarks - 8:55
Streaming Benchmarks - 16:35
Rendering / Unigine - 18:47
Power Consumption - 20:48
Recommendations and Discussion - 24:15
The formula for calculating the extra cost of power for the AMD over the Intel - (50/1000) X Hours Played per day X 365 X cost per KW/H, and there it is! It is that simple you can calculate how much the difference will cost YOU (not someone else).
Ultimately these 2 CPUs have their place in the gaming world and it depends on a variety of factors as to which will be the best for you. The biggest factors are however: how much money do you have to spend (i.e. what is your budget for the whole build including graphics card?) and how much does power cost where you live?
If you have any questions or comments please leave a comment in the comments section or I PM me if it is urgent and I will get back to you.
