In June 2016 The People’s Platform was performed in Penydarren Social Club in Merthyr Tydfil.

It was the result of a research and engagement project led by Cardiff University and POSSIB (a bilingual arts project), and was co-produced with National Theatre Wales TEAM.

The show explored how people could challenge perceptions about where they live and influence decision-making. Local people, decision makers and artists came together for a one off unique performance-based debate.

The People’s Platform inspired debate about the meaning of wellbeing locally, what needs to change, and how communities can shape improvements now and for future generations.

The People’s Platform was a collaboration between Cardiff University, POSSIB and National Theatre Wales TEAM. It was directed by Rhiannon White and written by Kelly Jones and the Company. It was funded jointly by POSSIB and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Ffrwyth gwaith prosiect ymchwil ac ymgysylltu o dan arweiniad Prifysgol Caerdydd a POSSIB (prosiect celfyddydau dwyieithog) oedd hwn, a chafodd ei gynhyrchu gyda TEAM Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru.

Roedd y sioe yn trin a thrafod sut y gall pobl herio canfyddiadau ynghylch ble maent yn byw a dylanwadu ar benderfyniadau. Daeth pobl leol, y rhai sy'n gwneud penderfyniadau, ac artistiaid ynghyd ar gyfer trafodaeth unigryw ar sail perfformiad.

Llwyddodd Llwyfan y Bobl i ysbrydoli trafodaeth am ystyr lles yn yr ardal leol, beth sydd angen ei newid, a sut y gall cymunedau wella pethau nawr ac ar gyfer cenedlaethau'r dyfodol.

Prosiect ar y cyd rhwng Prifysgol Caerdydd, POSSIB a TEAM Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru oedd Llwyfan y Bobl. Fe'i cyfarwyddwyd gan Rhiannon Gwyn a'i ysgrifennu gan Kelly Jones a'r Cwmni. Fe'i cyd-ariannwyd gan POSSIB a Chyngor Ymchwil y Celfyddydau a'r Dyniaethau.
