Space invaders is a legal education theatre project by Victoria Legal Aid, Western Edge Youth Arts and Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre (FKCLC). The show was aimed at a young audience and explored police powers through three key scenarios featuring in-between quizzes. There was also a short segment of 'playback theatre', where the performers asked for stories from the audience and then 'played these back' theatrically.

The project was planned and developed in 2010, and was performed in 2011, reaching over 600 students in a fortnight-long season of touring performances.

Funded by Arts Victoria, the Australia Council and VLA, Space Invaders was performed in August at eight high schools in Victoria -- Northcote High School, Keysborough College, Endeavour Hills Secondary College, Deer Park Secondary College, Debney Park Secondary College, Heidelberg NMIT and Northlands Secondary College.
