This was the most realistic cop move ever put on the theatrical screen. And I cried. Because it's the most accurate portrayal of my job...ever.  Granted, in the original script, both of them were to die, but just one of them going is more realistic. It made me think of something happening to my partner and I cried. Because I could never think of losing him. We're like brother and sister. Someone fucks with him and I'll fuck them up. Someone fucks with me and he fucks them up. I mean...this is so accurate, it's scary.  If you don't appreciate this movie, either you've no clue what cops go through or you're just on the other side.

Nobody got hit because when you fire a gun in full auto it's extremely difficult to hit anything.

I'd have to agree with you on that one. on the rare occasion I did fire an AK, the recoil drove the muzzle up and around so much accuracy was almost non existent. I'm a shit shot at that. so unless you are an experienced gun enthusiast and or a trained soldier/shooter, a few thugs in a line would probably cause a few grand in property damage at most. i even recall one idiot having his glock twisted side ways through the railing, which I doubt helped at all.
+Damo Harris 6 amateurs shooting at the same thing. When firing at full auto the shots spread out a lot. Like a lot. You'd be really surprised how big the spread actually is.

This movie always makes me think about my dad and what sacrifices he makes for us and if he died I would be a cop and if I died I would want to die like my dad, a hero.

thats right, u can also be a hero by being a good dad

+Jacob Diaz You really don't, you don't want to leave your family on their own, let your kid grow up without a dad, to be a hero, once you get a family/wife you will understand that.

Close to the real deal. As someone in law enforcement the film was accurate in way and not in others. The most accurate was the conversations within the cruiser and picking and choosing outstanding 10-21 calls over the database. Thats what we do when things are slow. Never policed in LA so cant say but 85% of calls are EDP's and calming them down to figure out thier family is disfunctional..Oh + paper work that will usually put you in court for 2 days a week..usually on your scheduled days off.
