Syalde-Bikhoti Fair: Situated at a distance of five kilometres from Dwarahat is the Vibhandeshwar temple. In the month of Chaitra, a fair is organised here during nighttime. This fair is known as the Bikhoti fair. In the month of Baisakh, another fair called the Syalde fair, is organised in the market of Dwarahat. These fairs, divided in two parts, are known as Syalde-Bikhote fair. It is also known as Darre ka mela.

Syalde-Bikhote fair has its origin in 14th century when it was started by Katyuri kings. According to a legend, a long time ago, during the puja (worship) of Shitla Devi, a fight broke out between two tribes. The head of the leader of the tribe that lost, was cut and buried in the ground. The place where the head was buried, a stone is placed as a memento.

Every year, the 'mukhiya' of the surrounding villages come to this fair to express the joy of winning by hitting on the ground under which the head of the leader is believed to have been buried while his people look on.

The villagers come to the fair dancing to the beat of the 'hudka', 'dhol', 'nagara' and the 'ransingha'. Choda' and 'Chachri' are also performed here in large numbers.
