Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was welcomed by Pope Francis for an informal visit Thursday afternoon at the Vatican. The Pope welcomed the Queen and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, inviting them into his study at the Paul VI hall for a private conversation, which lasted about twenty minutes. Queen Elizabeth gifted the Pope a large hamper containing foodstuffs from her royal estates.
