Hollywood Rip Ride Roller Coaster Accident Woman Injured At Orlando Theme Park. Officials said something happened on the ride that required them to stop the ride. One guest received a minor injury as the vehicle was stopped, said the official. The official said she was treated and released back into the park. The official said they don't know what happened yet but will reopen the ride once they do. A Universal Orlando representative said the incident forced them to stop the ride. The guest's injury was minor. Officials said the rider was treated and allowed back into the park.Orlando's big three parks: Disney, Universal and SeaWorld are all exempt from any government inspection.
That's because they have more than 1,000 employees and full-time inspectors on staff, so they are said to police themselves. There is no federal nor state agency responsible for overseeing park safety. The parks don't have to provide full data reports on annual injuries and deaths.The Rip Ride Rockit climbs 17 stories and reaches speeds up to 65 mph.Universal officials will investigate the incident before reopening the attraction.
