We wanted our primates to enjoy a little Halloween treat while educating the public on the work we do at the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary so we teamed up with local groups in New Braunfels, Texas to make it happen.

Paula Pebsworth, New Braunfels primatologist, gave a rousing talk to a group of youngsters from the New Braunfels chapter of Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots. Afterwards, thanks to a generous donation from H-E-B, the kids painted pumpkins for the primates to enjoy. Watch what happens when these snow monkeys find their brightly colored gourds!

You can help us make sure the primates get more of the "treats" they like. Just click the "donate" button on this page.
