cTrix plays music from an Amiga 500 (or A1200 in compatiblity mode), a machine with half a meg of ram and a 7mhz processor released in 1987 as a home computer. No additional sound hardware is used - just the built in outputs being mixed externally with a DJ mixer. The entire set (much more than just this tune!) easily fits on 4 x 880k floppy disks.
The music is playing out of Protracker 2.1a booted from a floppy with a striped down operating system in order to get enough RAM to play the tunes.
cTrix has played at parties around the world including in the UK, Germany and Australia. He heads to New York for Blip Fest in 2009 (but you may have to hunt down a certain after party if you want to see him play!) You can catch him at Soundbytes gigs, Synchronicity parties, Melbourne clubs and at venues around the world (when people book him!) :-]
