http://www.work4youlaw.com. What is premises liability law? Premises liability is the branch of the law that holds property owners and occupants responsible for injuries on their properties. It applies when owners knew or should have known of a hazard on their property, but failed to take care of it within a reasonable amount of time, or post a warning. Victims of any resulting accident may file a premises liability lawsuit against the negligent owners, and/or tenants.
