http://www.blitzmasters.com Fox News recently interviewed Andrea Sittig-Rolf, CEO of BlitzMasters and creator of the Blitz Experience, about networking at holiday parties. Contrary to popular belief, it's not always a faux pax to do some business networking or job seeking at a party.

Before you even go to the party, make sure you have a business card. This card should promote you and stand out from all the other business cards. It should be double-sided, should have your name, contact information, title, and headshot. The reverse should have a five-word personal mission statement following the format, "I help companies [verb] [noun]." So an example would be, "I help companies increase profit."

See the party as a way to introduce yourself, as a beginning. Don't tell your life story and recite your resume. Pique their curiosity and hand the person your card. Leave them wanting more.
