I am a big Eels fan (if you don't know much about them then check 'em out) and recorded a tv programme last month called PARALLEL WORLDS, PARALLEL LIVES a documentary about the Eels lead singer Mark Everett's (aka E) father who came up with the original theory of parallel universes (hence, the programme title) and Mark's journey to find out more about his father's theory and his father himself, with whom he had a difficult relationship.
It moved me to create a video to go with one of my favourite Eels songs 'Things The Grandchildren Should Know' where E talks of his father. So I used the available footage from the documentary and edited it to fit this song.
I recorded the programme from BBC FOUR so their logo is included in the footage (there wasn't a lot I could do about that), but it isn't too intrusive, and when the documentary is repeated on BBC2 then I'll edit the video without the logo.
I used a lot of footage of E walking symbolising his metaphorical journey to find out more about his father. I hope that any son who has had a difficult relationship with his father will find something within the song and, I hope too, within the video.
