Get out of the little 4 quadrant world I see so many double staff spinners living in. That's right, I think this is important enough to end a sentence with a preposition, just to get your attention. Unless you're in a really confined spot, use more space than the 6' x 6' square in front of you. Obviously, you don't want to ONLY do wide moves, but I think it's a great thing to integrate into an act. This is just a taste of a few ways to do this, but I wanted to get it out there.
The second half of the video is about wheel-plane, NON-fingerspinning forward flowers. If you look at a basic antispin, the staff makes a 1/4 turn at each quadrant. What about the rest of the circle? This is how to make 3/4 spins at each quadrant. None of what I do in this segment involves fingerspinning. So if you feel you need to fingerspin to get it to work, you're doing it wrong.
