The precursor to the famous Christmas tapes, produced for internal viewing within the television industry.

News Editors, Newsreaders and Film Editors all contributed to this film, taking a comic look at the possibilities of a dedicated news channel, as well as having a laugh at themselves.

Featured are Richard Baker, Kenneth Kendall and Robert Dougall.

Arthur Dungate was responsible for filming some of the Christmas films that were produced at Alexandra Palace during this time. Arthur began work at Alexandra Palace in 1952 in Central Telecine. You can read about Arthur involvement with the Christmas films here: http://www.bbctv-ap.co.uk/club.htm
