I put my remkick 4 blades on that orange frame you see in my early tries on a drag lift combo. These wings are on a 78" dia x 13"chord x 52" long x 2" thick in my new design. The wind is gusting to 2mps and at one point the wings are at about 160 rpm which for that dia. gives me a wing speed of 27+ mpsand tip speed of 97 kph. this gives me 960 rpm on the brush type motor. I shorted the leads through the ammeter and got 2.8 amps continuous at 120 rpm on the wings and open voltage of 13.7vdc. I just use these motors because they are throwaway salvage. I have a more efficient motor like the one on my small wing set I am going to put on here and after that a pma. The wings have a solidity of 50% which is good for a low tsr vawt, and you can see the shaft pulse because the wings are catching the wind and as each one comes around it pushes the shaft with it. I wanted it to start in lighter winds but if I get too much I'll cut them down to 35%
