In this video, Jason "Shark" (Mc)Guckian will show you how to do a one armed dumbbell row, also called a 'lawnmower' because the motion is similar to that of starting a lawnmower. For this exercise, you'll need a dumbbell that is a comfortable weight for you, and a bench to rest your knee and hand on while you do the exercise. Make sure that when you're pushing your arm back, you go slowly, maximizing the effects of the exercise.
The primary target of this exercise is the upper back. Because you're working one side at a time, you can get better results for a wider and more muscular looking back. This exercise isn't really for strength training, but it does strengthen your back and biceps to some degree, which can help you in everyday life with tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting objects.
When doing this exercise, make sure that you stay hydrated.
