Here I give the big picture of Chapter 6. I (without motivation) show what a generalized e-vector looks like and we see how e-vectors and generalized e-vectors allow us to solve dx/dt = Ax for any matrix A. We will not have time for all applications of the Jordan form, rest assured there are many. I also briefly sketch the idea of the real Jordan form. Our focus will primarily be in the complex domain in the lectures which follow as Damiano and Little have not much to say about real Jordan form (consult my Chapter 11 as needed)
