A demonstration of the Infinadeck, an omnidirectional treadmill that can turn VR gaming into a cardio workout. It is still in development with the current functioning prototype shown here. Recorded at CES 2016 in Las Vegas.

Some details:
The dangling wire is a killswitch.
The cables for the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive would go up through the top to keep them out of the player's way.
The only sensor used to determine which way to move the treadmill is at the top, it measures the angle the player is leaning and moves the floor to keep the player upright, the same principle behind the Segway.
