On June 29, Moonee Valley Police's Kokoda program saw 17 students from Mt Alexander College and St Bernards College join police to embark on what has often been described as a 'trip of a lifetime'.

This year came with special significance as it marked the 70th anniversary since the Battle of Kokoda.

In the programs sixth year, Chief Commissioner Ken Lay was one of the 42 to people travelling to Kokoda, joining students, police, sponsors and councillors.
