Video transcript:
Hi, my name is Andrew
I began dating girls
While in boarding school at age 14
And I have never hooked up with a guy
I didn’t really consider bisexuality
As something that fit me
Until a few years back
In high school, I thought...
It was one or the other.
I was often called gay
But I knew I liked girls
So I just wrote it off
I assumed it was just me being a “good guy”
And someone...
“In touch with his sensitive (soft?) side.”
I met my wife online in early 2011
And we’ve been married since fall 2012
We have four dogs and two children
Since coming to accept my bisexuality two years ago...
My priority has been...
Being mindful of how it could affect them
I purposely came out very slowly
A few friends at a time
I came out to everyone the day of the Pulse massacre
I spent that entire day crying
It was enormously cathartic
At 28, with no experimenting
I know I am #StillBisexual
I am happily married
I feel great about myself
And I hope that maybe
Sharing my story can help someone else.
