Orchestronik is a cooperation between the Stüba Philharmonie and the Kunstfest Weimar. It is the attempt to create a full-length program for symphonic orchestra in collaboration with 5 composers, a director and light and visual artists. We are working on an alliance between two worlds and also two passions.
The ambition is to interweave electronics and orchestra. But the electronics are not planned to be just an additional feature to the orchestra, instead we want both elements to be equal partners playing together.
Tim Jäkel and Fabian Russ are responsible for the third part of the concert, the BOLLWERK, the opener after the break. It is the part which leads to the climax of the evening when the gauze falls down and the orchestra is re-exposed.
Partly we use the orchestra as a machine, but there are also lots of symphonic parts, and finally electronics and orchestra are converging. This is the dramaturgy of the piece. And in the end it also may groove a bit.
