You might need to turn your volume way up for this one

This was the first fight of this challenge where I couldn't just throw caution to the wind and ignore all preparation. I had to take a lot of steps..well mostly just making a Moon Fist and powering up Secret Medicine. I think I still could have done it with SM a little weaker, but that's about all. These guys absolutely pound you if you're not well defended. That means yes Battle Suit and no Atlas Ring. Stone Check is pretty much a given. I also equipped a Duel Helm just for the hell of it. The Pyre Tier was pretty much made for this battle! Not only does it resist Fire, it also regenerates your MP when you are hit by spells.

Decus is the tough one who likes to run up and punch you a lot. I pretty much had to rely on him doing something stupid like trying to cast a spell while I was standing there or just get lucky and block one of his attacks. He is mostly harmless thanks to very high defense and the Pyre Tier, but he still hits fast and can keep me pinned down. Without my uber defense setup, he does about quadruple the damage he does in this video. This fight went on for so long that he actually ran out of MP.

As for Vesper, there's not a whole lot I can do to protect myself from his spells. It's really bad if I get juggled between spells (as happened a couple times in the video) but that's about the only thing that can go seriously wrong. The fact that he can stone you is annoying as hell since that accessory slot could be put to much better use. Blood Sucker and Tractor Beam just hurt a whole lot and come out really fast. The healing is kind of inconsequential. Mind Absorber is really bad! For some reason he absorbs like 7 times what Rupercht did, so I can't just ignore it. I generally didn't depend on the Pyre Tier regenerating my MP in time. Mind Blast is laughable, though. I figured out that if you're behind him at all (or far away, I think) it won't hit you. I took advantage of this every time, which is good since I think it would hurt a bit. With a Stone Check, Vesper's attacks aren't too worrisome. They don't come out fast compared to Decus'.

Without Decus, Vesper is a helpless puppy. I think that Decus would be relatively harder (though not much) on his own, so I mostly went for him first. Also Vesper can heal himself..sort of. Decus' Cure All is just kind of cute. Now if only Vesper could run out of MP..

Also, I didn't know you could block Spicule and Mind Blast. And what's with Spicule coming out instantly and costing no MP??
