If you already know how to get married, you can probably stop watching the video around 1:20. Otherwise, enjoy! See the FAQ regarding the annotations.

========================================================
Steps:
0:01 - Kill your current spouse. Start a new save prior to this if you change your mind.
0:26 - Travel to the Temple of Mara in Riften. Remove your current Amulet of Mara from inventory.
0:39 - Press tilde (~) to pull up console. Type the following two commands:
resetquest relationshipmarriage
setstage relationshipmarriage 10

FAQ:
Q: Spouse is unkillable due to quest significance. What do I do?

A: Use SetEssential to make them killable.

Simply put, some NPCs are immortal due to their importance in the game. Even after completing all quests associated with the NPC, they can remain unkillable. The command "setessential" will set the immortality on/off for any player or creature. Sometimes you have to type the command, leave the target (by fast traveling or entering a house, etc), and re-enter the area with the target.

Here's an example usage for Aela (base ID: 1a696)
setessential 1a696 0

Q: I don't want to kill my spouse. Is there any other way?

A: Unfortunately, no. Even if you go through the other steps, NPCs simply will not provide the option for marriage ("Interested in me, are you?"). However, no worries! After you marry the NPC of your dreams, you can always resurrect the one you killed by using the "resurrect" command.

By the way, you do not need the dead body in order to resurrect a player. You can simply use their ref ID (see http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Category:Sky...).
