Dame Gracie Fields, DBE (born Grace Stansfield, 9 January 1898 -- 27 September 1979), was an English-born, later Italian-based actress, singer and comedienne and star of both cinema and music hall.
"Goodnight My Love" is a popular song with by Mack Gordon and lyrics by Harry Revel, published in 1936. It was incorporated in the 1936 movie Stowaway, where it is sung by Shirley Temple and Alice Faye. Ella Fitzgerald recorded it on her Capitol 1968 release, 30 by Ella.
