This is a project me and my friend Randi did for extra credit in our Chemistry class...
If you're wondering what this has to do with Chemistry...I'll exlain...
Ernest Rutherford conducted an experiment that involved firing radioactive particles through thin gold metal foils and detecting them using screens coated with zinc sulfide. Rutherford found that although the vast majority of particles passed straight through the foil approximately 1/8000 were bouncing back. This experiment led him to his theory that most of the atom was made up of "empty space" and had a nucleus somewhere on the inside of the atom.

haha I didn't realized that I screamed when I got sprayed by the hose...woops...
and you can tell that I'm so uncordinated...I tripped over the hose at the end when we were talking about the points...
