Cynthia Barboza playing for the Toray Arrows Volleyball Team

When we first arrived in Japan, Toray Arrows beat JT in five. It was a hard fought game, but Toray Arrows proved that it could be done. Toray proved that it could be done. JT is considered the team to beat in the Japan V League. Their super star player Kim Yeon-Koung is surrounded by great players and the Toray Arrows are a touch match up.

The JT Marvelous team is owned by the Japan Tobacco Ltd. They are very strong and have beaten Toray Arrows in the past. Keep your eyes on a South Korean player named Kim Yeon-Kong. This is as close as you will get to being the Shaq ONeal of womens professional volleyball. I think you will love how this young woman plays the game. Right now in the V-League in Japan, the team JT is the team that you try to beat.

We hope you enjoy the battle between JT Marvelous and The Toray Arrows.

Kids Talk Radio Sports was on a special assignment in Japan. We wanted to find out why the fans are so into volleyball. Our teams of Americans were treated with a high degree of respect and generous hospitality. The Japanese people rolled out the red carpet for us. For our fans in Japan, this means you were fantastic in everyway. We will be sure to return the favor when you visit America. I have determined that volleyball might be the key to bringing about world peace.

Our special assignment included reporting on education in Japan, Cynthia Barboza playing as the only foreigner on the Toray Arrows Womens Professional Japanese Volleyball Team, and the cities of Tokyo and Hiroshima.

Cynthia Barboza was provided with a special Japanese interpreter by the name of Kotomi Fujita. Kotomi helped us all to navigate the subways and trains that we took up and down Japan. We invite you to view our videos, digital photographs, and Kids Talk Radio audio podcasts.
