This is a short film about the new fixed-route public bus transit system in Salina, KS. The system is called CityGo and is managed by OCCK.

Mad propz to the interviewees on the street. We found em all on the spot, and we couldn't have scripted it better if we had a week to plan it. Oh wait, we did have a week and we had no script. You guys not only made our day, but you made me smile every minute I edited your shining faces! The same was said by everyone who prescreened this for me. Feel free to contact us!

The concept and initiative were all provided by Ian and Mike; storyboard by Ian, Mike, and Dan; editing mostly by Dan. Camera 1 and director is Ian, the interviewer is Mike, Camera 2 and editor is Dan, and the music composer is Mathew. This was produced using Access TV's Canon DV camcorder and mics, Dan's iMac, and Dan's Aiptek Action HD camcorder. Dan used Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro and LiveType) for everything.

It involved 5 hours in the field of finding and shooting locations and interviews, about $50 in volunteer expenses, and about a week's worth of editing just to produce a 5 minute short film. It often took 4 hours to produce 20 seconds of final footage, because of the amount of cleanup of all this wild footage, and because of a high tech creative direction and the learning curve. It could have been done a lot simpler and easier ;) Nevertheless, this is the first draft. We're thinking of making a PSA, and/or a longer documentary, pending substantial feedback from OCCK or anyone else.

There are still cosmetic problems in it such as analog noise, slight desynch, etc. Youtube doesn't let anyone reupload though, so I might reply to this one later.
