Our Chapel Talk speaker is Pete Metzelaars '82. Metzelaars came to Wabash College from Portage, MI, and graduated in 1982. After playing tight end for an undefeated Wabash football team and leading the Little Giants basketball team to their first NCAA Division III national championship in 1982, Metzelaars was drafted in the third round by the Seattle Seahawks in the 1982 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Buffalo Bills in 1985, and helped them reach four Super Bowls from 1990-1994. In 1995, Metzelaars signed with the Carolina Panthers and caught the first touchdown pass in Carolina franchise history. He ended his 16-year tenure in the NFL in 1997 with the Detroit Lions. Metzelaars is currently in his second season as the offensive line coach for the Colts.
