There are places so isolated and hostile and remote as to never be mapped. One such place is sometimes called The High Lonesome. Folk often go there, and some never return.

Folk that have never been on these roads less traveled, can scarcely understand how they are, what they are, that is until they do.

Some folk ponder the thinking of such as Tiger Woods, Jesse James, Bill Clinton, and an endless stream of others that have went before them, or after them as case may be. Folk who have found themselves lost Out On The High Lonesome. A place where time stands still and the lines between reality and fantasy get blurred. Its a place down towards Lonesome, just past Hope, out on the outskirts of Alone. And its good place to be from. That is; If you can find your way out.

In the end there is no explanation, no reference point, no dot on a map, no excuse, no redemption, out on the high lonesome.

And the high lonesome? Its nowhereand everywhere.. when your alone and lonesome and on fire
Out On The High Lonesome.

Im On Fire
Original Score: Bruce Springsteen
Born In The U.S.A. 1984

Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
Im on fire

Tell me now baby is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
Im on fire

Sometimes it's like someone took a knife baby
Edgy and dull and cut a six-inch valley
Through the middle of my soul

At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the
Middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Im on fire
