Have you filed an annual registration for your Georgia business?

Georgia law requires all corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships to file annual registrations with the Secretary of State’s Corporations Division and pay the associated renewal fee. The annual registration period starts January 1 and ends April 1 each year. If a business fails to renew by the deadline, it must pay a $25.00 late filing penalty fee or risk administrative dissolution.

To make annual renewal easier, Secretary of State Brian Kemp announced in December 2015 a new and improved Corporations website at https://ecorp.sos.ga.gov. During the registration period, officers and registered agents can visit the website without having to log into the system and select one of two options: “One Click Annual Registration” if there are no changes to be made to their business filings or “Express Annual Registration” to update contact information or make other changes.
