Nothing compliments a freshly cut lawn besides a nicely trimmed edge. Use a gas powered string trimmer to get a trimmed edge on your lawn. Before you begin, make sure that you are aware of all lawn obstructions such as sprikler heads or vent pipes.

To get the string trimmer to begin to work, push the primer button. This lets the gas begin to circulate. Set on full choke, squeeze the throttle, then pull the rope until it starts.
Working right to left, move the trimmer in and out of the cutting area. Let the tip of the line do the cutting. Heavy cuts can overload the engine, so if the grass or weeds are over 8" tall, cut in small chunks. Cut the edging to the height of your lawn. Finally, clean by using a brush to scrape off trimmings.
