Less than two days after robotic surgery to have his prostate removed, patient Clark Ryan got a turn at the controls of a robot just like the one Dr. Chad LaGrange used in the procedure. Ryan told Dr. LaGrange he was interested in seeing how the machine worked, and LaGrange was more than happy to give him a behind-the-scenes look. Dr. LaGrange uses the DaVinci robot exclusively in procedures to remove cancerous prostates because it's much less invasive than traditional measures and results in quicker recovery times and less pain for the patient. For more information about robotic prostate surgery, also known as a robotic prostatectomy visit www.NebraskaMed.com or call 1-800-922-0000.
