Rain precipitation reached to 80 millimeters in just two hours in Yanchang County, Yan'an City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, last Thursday, causing many floods and landslides there.

A surveillance video shows that a man in black rushed to drive his car away, which was stranded in mud on Thursday morning, however, when he just entered his car, mudslide moved towards his car and he immediately rushed out of car before it was washed away soon.

Since July, continuous torrential rains have battered Yan'an City, while a total of 936,000 people and 47,800 hectares of crops in 13 townships of the city were affected, reports say.

Earlier this month, a car containing four people was driving on a mountain pass on July 13 when it was suddenly inundated by a nearly minute-long landslide. Two men immediately escaped from the car, and later another man also rushed out of the car. With the help of the three survivors, the last man in the car was soon rescued. The whole ordeal was caught on a surveillance camera as well.
