As grizzly recovery progresses in the Northern Continental Divide ecosystem near Glacier National Park, bears are following rivers east from the Rocky Mountains onto the plains of central Montana. With a recent uptick in grizzly incidents on local ranches and farms, the timing is right for our Glen Willow project, which will secure a conservation easement on 640 acres of riparian and forest habitat straddling a spring-fed tributary of the Teton River. The project will help bears avoid conflicts that would occur on a developed landscape.
