http://lindaforsenate2012.com/ - When I was born, my family lived in low-income housing until my dad built the little house that I grew up in.

We didn't have a lot of expensive things, but boy we had a lot of love.

Vince and I met in church, we got married in college and we've been married 45 years.

But the day before we graduated, I found out I was pregnant. So there we were, no job, no insurance, baby on the way -- it was daunting.

And as a new mother, I had to go to work right away just to make ends meet.

Today, the entertainment business that I helped create is a success, but there was a time when we had to declare bankruptcy.

We learned hard lessons but we had the opportunity to get back on our feet.

And across Connecticut, I meet so many people who are struggling with jobs, with health insurance, with business and I want them to know I've walked in their shoes and I will fight for them in the United States Senate.
