Filmed at the Homestead National Monument near Beatrice Nebraska during the total solar eclipse on August 21st, 2017. Sped up 50x to make the shadow's movement and circular shape more apparent. Up until the very moment of totality, clouds had obstructed our view of the partial solar eclipse. Seconds after the moon had completely covered the sun, the clouds parted and gave the lucky visitors of the national park a view of the sun's corona that none will soon forget. The clouds were a blessing in disguise however, as they provided an airborne surface for the moon's shadow to be seen as it tracked across the sky.
