Have you ever held, touched, or even hatched a baby gator? Emmy© Award-winning host Tom Gregory visits Insta-Gator Ranch and Hatchery in Covington, a working alligator ranch for a guided tour. Insta-Gator works with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries to harvest alligator eggs from the wild and increase the percentage of baby gators that hatch and live to 2-3 years old. Some are returned to the swamps of Louisiana and some are harvested for their meat and hide. Insta-gator lets visitors help the baby gators emerge from their shell during the hatching season.
