Over the weekend O'Neill and Farley hall staff issued an ice bucket challenge to University president Fr. John Jenkins to raise awareness and research funding for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Fr. Jenkins gave a donation to the Notre Dame College of Science which is participating in neurodegenerative disease research.
He also issued his own challenge to Erin Hoffmann Harding, Vice President for Student Affairs, Lauren Vidal, Student Body President, and Matt Devine, Student Body Vice President.
