In a speech on the Senate floor, Sen. Chuck Grassley urges the Senate to enact his legislation to ban the chemicals used to make highly dangerous synthetic drugs such as "Spice" and "K2." The legislation is named for a young Iowan, David Rozga, who took his life after trying one of the products from a local store. The Rozga family is advocating the banning of these drugs to spare other families their suffering. Other senators feel strongly about banning the drugs, but one senator is holding up consideration of the legislation on philosophical grounds. Sen. Grassley's speech outlines the need for a federal ban.
