Matchless twin fitted with Minimag "Novus-2" miniature dual spark ignition coil. This small coil is designed for model engines with 1/4 x 32tpi plugs so to get a 650cc engine to run on reduced HT voltage, the plugs were gapped at 0.012". Electronic ignition is a Boyer-Brandsden unit located in the LH side panel. Note the ballast resistor as this bike has 12V electrics.
