Low action on a guitar is a symptom of a dried out guitar. BTW, on the following page, “high” means high resolution video and “low” means low resolution video. I cannot post URL's here: Google "In this continuing series, Bob Taylor leads you through Humidity 101"

High action on a guitar is a symptom of EXCESSIVE MOISTURE, NOT DRYNESS. In the coastal areas, fog tends to move in during the night, raising the humidity to 60-80%. If your guitar has developed high action over time, the solution is to use a blow dryer for the CASE, NOT the guitar, and place several desiccant packets in the case. Replace the desiccant packets every few months. The packets will absorb excessive moisture. I cannot post URL's here: Google "10_SymptomsofaWetGuitar.pdf"
