This video is one of a collection of videos produced by John Austin and Mark Parker, that show how Microsoft Unified Communications Managed API 3.0 Core SDK and Lync 2010 SDK can be used to create applications that work together. The UCMA application that is described in this video receives an IM call from a Lync 2010 client, and presents a two-tiered menu of departments of the fictional Northwinds department store. The UCMA application uses speech synthesis to speak the menu items at each level to the Lync 2010 user, who responds by pressing keys on a numeric key pad. The UCMA application responds to these numeric key presses from the Lync 2010 client, navigating through the menu and eventually reaching the requested department.
