Final things completed. All tube voltages rechecked. Power resistor is mounted. Radio is now plugged into the AC outlet and not the Variac. Final burn in before cover is put on and reinstalled in the cabinet. After I made the video I got a scroll saw blade for my jigsaw and made the one inch thick shim to raise the speaker from the cross piece in the cabinet. The scroll saw blade really worked well.
Please note 1. Tube electronics contain Lethal Voltages. All voltage measurements taken with one hand in the pocket.
Please note 2. Disclaimer. Videos are for entertainment purposes only. So if you repair an old radio Please adhere to all safety procedures.
Please note 3, I am not an expert! Learning as I go!
Most importantly read as much as you can about this stuff on the internet or get a book at the Lieberry.
