'Salvage with a Smile' was made in 1940 by Ealing Studios, famous for smash hit comedies like 'The Ladykillers', 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' and 'Passport to Pimlico', for the Ministries of Information and Agricultural Production.

It takes a light-hearted approach to encourage householders to recycle waste to help the war effort without seeming to lecture too obviously.
