Power Steering Reservoir install for Dodge Durango and Dakota

UPDATED! Details on the Power Steering Pump reservoir install on a 2000-2004 Dodge Dakota's and 2000-2003 Dodge Durango's with the 4.7L V8 engine. Affects CARDONE part # 21-4045.

1) Remove the reservoir from the original unit by removing the front and rear strap bolts (1:20)
2) Thoroughly clean the reservoir, be sure to flush out all debris and contamination (1:29)
3) Inspect the reservoir for damage and replace as needed (1:34)
4) Remove the plastic spacer and the original o-ring from the reservoir spout (1:38)
**If you do not see the plastic spacer, it may have come loose and is sitting in the inlet of the power steering pump (1:43)
5) Install the new o-ring supplied with the replacement unit (1:49)
6) Press the plastic spacer into the end (1:53)
**If the spacer is not used, a leak will result (1:56)
7) With the pulley facing forward, slide the reservoir along the valve body of the replacement unit from the right to the left (2:00)
8) Press the spout into the returned port (2:08)
9) Insert and tighten the front and rear strap bolts (2:11)
