A presentation by Ori Ann Li and Xavier DuMontcel. Ori Ann and Xavier will serve up a tasty blend of Zen and Tao wisdom and kitchen skills at each workshop, open to people of all culinary levels. You will learn how to cultivate mindfulness with ingredients and cooking utensils to transform the mundane task into an art, a meditation and an adventure. All recipes are vegan. Vegan Chef Ori Ann Li Ori Ann trained at french culinary arts institutes in Paris and Ottawa, the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York, and is currently attending the Cordon Vert cooking school in England. In 2009 Ori Ann traveled to 33 cities in 13 countries to research on vegetarian and vegan cuisines. She shares stories and recipes with her audience. Ori Ann's cooking style mixes ancient principals with modern techniques and practical solutions. She passionately believes in promoting healthy compassionate and eco-friendly living. Ori Ann graduated from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and a master's degree in theatre studies. She taught at Chaminade University, worked as a freelance language translator and was Mrs Hawaii International 2007. She was a costar of the TV show on KITV 4 in Honolulu: "Cook Healthy Fast". Ori Ann teaches vegan cooking and mindful meditation and is working on a book.
