This video shows the partial painting of a still life in watercolor by Maryland artist Susan Avis Murphy. Painting under a demonstration mirror during a typical class, Murphy works on finishing the stripes in the dish towel and then the the pepper shaker and the salt shaker. A detailed discussion of the jurying process for the American Watercolor Society is included, as well as a discussion of painting watercolor on an easel, and painting while standing versus sitting. OK, OK, a discussion of Disney World is included as well! This is a "reality" demonstration with a class of adult students in attendance! Sue will finish the painting in a future episode. Stay tuned! Also you can visit the ARThouse Studio School blog (www.susanmurphy.blogspot.com) for more information about this painting and classes at ARThouse. Hope you enjoy this and please leave your comments below to help us in creating future videos! BTW, I am not left-handed! --Sue Murphy
