A stripdown performance of "Lie to Me" by iconic American musician Tom Waits, performed live on Late Show with David Letterman on November 27, 2006. The song was performed in promotion of Waits' then-recently-released box set Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards, which was released a week prior.

I do not, nor have I claimed that I, own the media file, or content of said file, featured in this video. The audio is used for the purposes of criticism and comment on the artist Tom Waits and this particular performance. It is intended -- in the context of scholarship -- to inform the viewer/listener of the sound of Tom Waits and this performance while not displacing the original recording.
