The first jazz festival was produced in 2000 by founder, Terry Thompson, a musician and bandleader and Glendale resident at the time. The festival offers a diverse variety of jazz artists and bands. The video opens with MC Don Wolff -introducing the festival and later interviewing Terry Thompson. The featured groups are Steve Lilley with the St. Louis Stompers , Terry Thompson with his Swing Alive Band with special guest artist Denise Thymes. The Jazz Festival runs from 6 - 10pm on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. This year is the 11th Annual Glendale Jazz Festival and will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010.
