One little boy from Cocoa, Florida was a big fan of law enforcement. But when a SWAT team responded to an emergency in his neighborhood while he was outside playing, he became frightened of police and didn’t want to play outside anymore. His father contacted Cocoa PD to see if they could do something to help his young son rebuild his trust and confidence in law enforcement. Officer James Salley arrived with toys, books and games in the department’s “puzzle car” – an autism awareness patrol car with colorful puzzle pieces on it. Officer Salley's small act of kindness to make sure these children had a positive experience with police speaks volumes of the good law enforcement does on a daily basis.
